ICM: context is part of the design
Decisions need context too.
Context engineering for AI-assisted work: our adaptation of Interpretable Context Methodology connects sources, instructions and decisions the team can read and review.
A project holds its intent, experiments and decisions. At Mitad Robot, we adapt Interpretable Context Methodology so that knowledge can be read, reviewed and carried into AI-assisted work. This adaptation is part of our context engineering practice: organizing sources, instructions and memory so agents can find what they need and the team can review their results. We start with a specific workflow and preserve the decisions needed to continue it. ICM was developed by Jake Van Clief and David McDermott. This case presents its adaptation and use at Mitad Robot. Original diagrams use fictional examples.

A project you can read
From brief to delivery, we organize sources, instructions and outputs in readable files. Each part has a place and a purpose: understand the goal, guide the work or preserve a decision. This is the foundation we use to connect film production, development and AI tools. Illustrative structure. No client files are reproduced.
Each task finds its sources
We design a path from the request to the materials each stage needs. The agent reads the relevant instructions and produces work that can be reviewed. Human direction enters where a choice, correction or approval is needed. A fictional script stage: request, reading, draft and review.
Keep the reason. Continue the work.
We record decisions, sources, alternatives and next steps so a new session has a starting point it can check. The context can travel across tools or models; their capabilities and outputs still need to be verified. Continuity also depends on maintenance and review. A fictional continuity example. The next session reads and checks before acting.
