American Airlines × Inter Miami — Born to Fly

A film. A production system built around it.

American Airlines × Inter Miami — Born to Fly

AI-assisted editing and postproduction for American Airlines × Inter Miami. Film, VFX, color and custom search and review tools, with context organized through ICM.

The film and the tools we built behind it. We worked on AI-assisted editing and postproduction, connecting live footage, generative video, VFX and color. We developed a visual library, video search and review tools to support the team’s decisions. The ICM architecture keeps context connected across stages: the story, the available material and what still needs to be resolved. This case brings together the finished film and a selection of the production workflow behind it.

Before the edit, find the material.

Camera footage, archive and generated explorations share a visual library. Thumbnails, descriptions and filters help the team find material and return to its source.

Before the edit, find the material.

Search for what happens in the frame.

We search for what appears in the frame. That brings options together to compare framing, light and their role in the story, even when the files have different names.

Find a moment inside ten minutes of footage.

Long clips can be explored by moment. A search leads to players, flags or celebrations within the video; selections are then checked against the original material.

Connect each scene to its options.

The coverage map connects each scene with options from real footage and generation. It helps the team see what can be edited and where more work is needed.

The real aircraft sets the rules.

References from the shoot guide the generated imagery. Shape, proportion, light and brand details are developed in relation to the real footage to support visual continuity.

Continuity lives in the details too.

Each reference contributes something to the shot. Bringing them together helps guide tests, compare alternatives and keep the details within the same visual world.

From a comment to a change you can track.

Review notes become clear next steps. Each change keeps its intention and a way to check it, so feedback stays connected to the edit through the next version.

Test the light before taking it further.

A color test makes the intention visible. Comparing camera footage with a proposed look gives the team a way to discuss light, contrast and atmosphere before developing them across the film.

Let the light carry the journey.

Color tells part of the story. References help build a journey through light and atmosphere, and reveal how the shots work together within the film.

Compare a choice instead of remembering it.

Variants are viewed side by side. A direct comparison helps the team choose a direction, refine its nuances and keep the conversation grounded in the image.

Return to the whole film.

The contact sheet brings real footage, generated images and graphics into one sequence. It offers a way to return to the whole and assess how each choice contributes to the film. ICM connects that work to its references and reviews so the process can continue.
